Philosopher’s Kit Gift Box:

✻Socrates Statue

The philosopher Socrates remains, as he was in his lifetime (469–399 B.C.E.),[1] an enigma, an inscrutable individual who, despite having written nothing, is considered one of the handful of philosophers who forever changed how philosophy itself was to be conceived.

Because his life is widely considered paradigmatic not only for the philosophic life but, more generally, for how anyone ought to live, Socrates has been encumbered with the adulation and emulation normally reserved for religious figures – strange for someone who tried so hard to make others do their own thinking and for someone convicted and executed on the charge of irreverence toward the gods.

Part of this sophisticated gift set is a mini statue of Socrates sitted thinking, hand painted, with 17cm height. This mini statue is the perfect detail of office decoration.

✻”Komboloi” - Worry Beads

Komboloi derives from the Greek words kombos which means “knot” and leo which means “say” as in “in every knot I say a prayer“. Its origins date back to time, when monks began making strands of beads by tying knots on a string at regular intervals in order to say their prayers to God. Worry beads depict the Greek easy-going mentality.

Most Greeks carry a komboloi with them at all times. Locals play with their komboloi in different manners, thus letting go of their stress. Nowadays, the fact that the komboloi keeps your hands occupied, has been promoted as an excellent way to quit smoking.

✻Notebook with Greek Quotes from Great Men

Some of the greatest Greek men shared their thoughts and wisdom about eros, friendship, politics and other. A notebook full of wisdom with quotes from Aristotle, Plato, Socrates and others.

✻2 Sets of Greek Philosophers’ Playing Cards

Two sets of high quality playing cards with ancient Greek theme. Enjoy them by playing with your friends or practice solitaire.

✻ Pencils with Greek Philosophers’ Quotes

Set of 2 pencils with Greek philosophers’ quotes. The quotes and conclusions were the base for physics, psychology, medicine and many other sciences. The educational character of these pencils help us become better people every day as we use them to write our thoughts. Quotes written in both Greek and English.

✻Greek Lucky Eye Bracelet

In Greece there is a belief that Matiasma will cause misfortune or injury. Matiasma means “evil eye” in Greek, and is often shortened to mati which means “eye”. The classic Greek “lucky eye” symbol charm aims to ward off the effects of the Matiasma. Blue charms shaped like eyes worn on a necklace or a bracelet “reflect” the evil. The lucky eye is the most commonly talked about ancient tradition in the Greek Isles. Celebrate Greek culture with a Greek lucky eye bracelet in the blue and white colours of the Greek flag.
